I agree, because I can't use ANY NNID on my source 3DS without either formatting or calling Nintendo. I still have Fieldrunners installed in my system memory though so I wonder if it would work again?

If you bought it while having a linked NNID, it won't transfer, since you say it has error. If you remove the NNID and buy it again, it will work.

Anyway, if you want to remove your NNID with error, try what it says there. Press X and Y buttons in the NNID error message.
