So, I wanted to flash the firmware of my AD 7700S Optiarc DVD burner, so I could booktype DVD+RW's to DVD-R for gamecube games. I did, with Binflash, and it said to restart my computer. Right as I pushed the power button, I noticed a little window in the corner of my computer that said "installing device drivers" or something like that, but it was too late, because the computer was already shutting down D:
Now, my computer won't even recognize the dvd reader is even there. Is there anything I can do to save it?

Find the DVD drive in your Device manager (Right Click My Computer, Manage, Device Manager) and find the drive (will maybe have some kind of unknown icon or something) right click it, Properties, Driver, Update or Uninstall. whichever.

That might help you

When I click update, it says that
"The best driver software for your device is already installed"
CD-ROM Drive

So, should I uninstall?
EDIT:I'll try the bootdisk thingy in a bit...

Un-install and re-install.

Sorry for double posting, but

I did a little scan for hardware problems, and Windows found the driver and installed it.

Yeah, it works fine.
BUT THE GOD DAMN GAME DOESN'T FUCKING WORK IN THE FUCKING WII!
I heard (from GBATemp) that Sony DVD+RW's booktyped to DVD-ROM work on the Wii. It doesn't work D:

Can someone tell me what exactly to do to get it working? :/

Well Sony doesn't make they're own disks, so the disks you have might be made by any company. Which might mean that they're not good quality. Some burners don't work. Or you could have a new wii that doesn't read ANY backups(When did you buy it?).

No, I got this Wii November 07, it's been able to run a backup of SSBB and SSBM on DVD-R's (not booktyped). I haven't ever tried a DVD+RW, but since now have a burner that can booktype a dvd+rw to dvd-ROM, it should work, right?
