Hi.
I have a Wii Key v1.
It's got the latest firmware.
I've had no problem with any games so far.

I burned a copy of Mad World.
Put it in the Wii.
It showed up OK and then I ran it...
The screen went black and my Wiimote turned off.

I thought my Wii might need a system update,
so I upgraded to the latest version via the net.
Still no joy.

What do I need to do to fix this?

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Dan

IOS are system files for the wii. Games require specific ones to run. Use any title deleter to find out what IOS you have (don't delete any of them) then open up the game disc (in this case madworld) with wiiscrubber to see which IOS are in the update folder that you don't have. Extract those missing IOS, then use wad manager to install them on your wii.

Hi, everyone - thanks for your tips.
I finally got this fixed, and the solution is actually pretty simple!

1) Make sure you have a full disk image (i.e. not stripped with Wii Scrubber) and have burnt it nice and slow.
2) Put your WiiKey config disk into the Wii and connect a Gamecube controller to port 1.
3) Set your WiiKey to allow system updates.
4) Now reset your Wii and insert Mad World.
5) Run Mad World and let it install the system update.
6) Enjoy!

WARNING: Make sure your copy of Mad World is the for the same region as your Wii,
otherwise you will probably brick the console by installing the wrong update!

I.E: If you have a North American Wii, make sure you have an NTSC-US copy of Mad World.

Hope this info is of help!
