There are like 2 games for the Mac. Sorry to burst your bubble. But, try EA's site, they are a pushover for bad ports so they have released some PC games for the Mac.

Get VMWare, install Windows XP (NOT VISTA), run it in Coherence Mode, and voilá, games galore. You can also use BootCamp.

Mac is awesome, just not for games.

Once you've been there, If you don't find anything, you need to use Bootcamp. Install copy of Windows and go get Windows games.

Vista > XP, especially for gaming in my experience. Plus, running in a VM will make DX less powerful and slow down the entire machine.

Dual boot Windows with Boot Camp. VM sucks for gaming since it lags everything down.

As people said, Macs are great for a lot of stuff, but gaming isn't one of them. But I don't game on computer so I don't care.

I have found my macbook pro to be one of the best gaming laptops I have ever had when running windows (bootcamp). software support on OSX is the problem, just like linux.

Pretty much all games Blizzard makes will run on a Mac, if you like RTS and/or a certain popular MMORPG.
I will buy a Mac soon, and one of the first things going on there is Warcraft III.
A lot of open source games have Mac versions.
Otherwise installing Windows in Bootcamp will open up the huge world of PC gaming to you. Don't use VMware or Parallels like another poster said, VMs are great for running applications but games are too taxing on the system and will run much slower in a VM than on the bare metal (Bootcamp).

Bootcamp w/ XP is your best option. When I made my decision to move to Mac OS, I did it knowing I was giving up PC gaming... I now only play games on my consoles (wii/360) and portables (ds/iphone)... with exception of few web games, and few retro DOS games using DOSbox.
