I can confirm that in the revised version saving works again. You can safely keep your old save games, even that from Spirit Tracks. Make sure you get the revised version from the link a few posts above, so you don't download the damaged version. Make a backup of all your saves before you upgrade.

Thanks for testing it, powered_by_tux! I'm uploading the revised version SYSTEM folder right now. It will be ready in a few minutes.

*EDIT*
It's ready.

(and yeah i got the revised version) btw how can i convert my save (512) to a 1MB save? any ideas/tips?

@dEvA_pAiN

How was your save file created in the beginning? I used Desmume and it carried over flawlessly from 1.44 3rd to 1.45 revised.

About the question of converting, I would try to load the save in Desmume and hope that the emulator automatically extends the save file to about 1MB. If that does not work, I would manually extend it to 1048576 bytes using a UNIX tool called dd as I am using Linux. I have no idea whether there is a Windows equivalent.

Does RTS Work With 1.45 Revised?
Or is it still broken?

Also can it run Zelda: Spirit Tracks clean now, or do I have to still do some patching custom save file or something?

so everything is fine now?

btw people, just back up your .sav files on your comp
very simple

Anyone know what this is about ?

1. To increase the filename extension *. dsi game and the corresponding operation of the display settings to support treatment;

We apologize for all the inconvenience caused by the past 2 Sakura updates. Please backup all your save files before converting it.

1. To increase the filename extension *. dsi game and the corresponding operation of the display settings to support treatment;It looks like they added support for a new .dsi file. Not sure what that might be though, since the one DSi-only ROM that's been dumped still has an .nds extension.

I also tried the new v1.45 revision and I can confirm that it works perfectly with a clean dump of LoZ:ST, no hacked save file required. Cheats work with the ROM as well, but Soft-Reset and RTS still cause freezing.

I have not tried playing LoZ:ST with the new firmware and an existing save file, but I'll put up a warning about it at the top of the M3 Sakura FAQ for others who haven't upgraded yet.

My old LoZ:ST sav file is working perfectly on M3 Sakura 1.45x firmware.

I think the problem others are having is that they used the "hacked" sav file that was uploaded for others to use. but that sav file is also a incorrect file size. LoZ:ST uses a 1MB sav file. The "hacked" is 979 KB, 21 KB short of the original sav file. The new version of M3 Sakura sees this mistake and tries to convert it to a 1 MB sav file, but its failing. I would suggest taking your old sav file and increasing its bytes to 1 MB even. When I made my sav file before this update, I took the blank 512 KB sav file M3 Sakura made and added another 512 KB. When I launched LoZ:ST for the first time with this update, there was no message about converting the sav file. It just booted like normal.

There's a possibility you can get your save files back. Check the WARNING at the top of this thread.

Interesting, because RTS also does not work but at least, it does not freeze.

So if anyone's using the original hacked save file by Benighted, their save will be corrupted by the v1.45 because the size of their save doesn't match the 1MB file that the firmware uses.

I can safely confirm that neither the save file size nor the 'hacked' status are really an issue. The file Desmume created for me was about 979 KB and it stayed that way on Sakura 1.44 and 1.45, even the revised version did not ask to convert it. Nevertheless, I expanded the file manually and it still works. I think the fix in Touchpod version 4.7a is mostly for creating the save if there is no beforehand while the conversion only applies to users who had a 512 KB save file before, which nobody should really have because Spirit Tracks does not work with that size.
