Hi Guys,

I recently went from this:

M3 lite, Passme, 2gb sd with firmware 1.34

to this:

M3 ds real, GBA expansion pack, 8gb sd with sakura 1.35

My battery life is now about 1/3rd of what it was with the old M3 lite. Any idea what causes the extra drain?

Cheers guys

If you have the GBA-expansion inserted in your DS it will drain your battery faster, even if you're not using it, e.g. playing a GBA-rom.

This has been my experience as well.

Yar, that GBA expansion is a little energy sucker. Make sure when you pull it out that you don't leave the head in or it can get into the blood stream and....wait thats a tick...dang they are so similar.

Never really knew that the second expansion slot would drain power from the system. Guess I should remove it whenever I am not playing a GBA game.

People say the GBA expansion drains, but I still find my battery life significantly short with just the M3. I think it's an effect of flashcarts in general.

It's true, all of us have noticed a shorter battery life (there are 6 of us) just using the M3. But it's not nearly as drastic as when the GBA expansion is in.

But I mean it;s not like it's just the M3, most flashcarts do that.

Makes me wish I'd gotten a Cyclo with an EZ Flash 3 in 1.
The battery saver mode on that rig is incredible.
