Hacking M3 save files (DAT) to SAV format

I have a problem with the GBA save files in my M3 Perfect (for Slot-2). They work perfectly in my NDS, but I can't seem to make them work in VisualBoyAdvance. I've tried writing a *.sav with the M3 Game Manager. I've tried just changing the extension from *.dat to *.sav. I've tried the M3 Save Converter from Thulinma. I've tried the "import battery file" option in VBA. I've tried with several ROMs and save files, and it doesn't work in any way. Yet the other way around, from VBA sav format to M3 dat format it has worked for me with the game Final Fantasy I & II (E).

Has anyone successfully converted or loaded M3 save files for the emulator VisualBoyAdvance?

I'm having the same problem, is there any way to convert the .dat to an .sav that works in emulators?

Ok i found a program that works wonders, its called m3savetool, you can get it here.

It will convert the .dat file to a 512 bytes .sav file (What VBA uses etc.)
