0%? Are you shitting me?

Fail.

We've already got a full English translation. I've already translated all of those lines on the wiki from the Japanese version. If you just download 1.12+1 and open the messages.932 file, you'll find it all there.

Oh, fail. I started to translate some of those thinking they were new or something. Oh well, time to delete that waste of time.

Anyone translating Sakura into their own language from English, don't use this wiki because the translation is old. Here are the most updated translations.
Mirror 1
Mirror 2

Instructions for those who want to help translate:

1. Download this file.
2. Replace their messages.000 file with this one (mirror). Theirs has lots of errors in it.
3. Use the revised messages.000 file as a template for translation into your own language.
4. e-mail your translated file to [email protected].

I'm now translating Sakura to Spanish, in case some spanish-speaking people is interested, for today or tomorrow I'll have the translation ready and uploaded here. Unfortunately I don't have yet a M3 card to test the translation, so I need somebody to do that for me...

I have done the German translation, which I just sent away via e-mail.

As a base for translation, I have used the already very advanced German language file that came with the European Sakura firmware. It was not fully finished, so I did it for them. I tried my best to make it fitting into the Sakura GUI. The date display should use 24-hour display wherever possible. Also, umlauts will now be correctly used, since Sakura seems capable to display them.

If you want to use it by yourself, download the language file here. Have fun playing around!

@Densetsu3000
What about the files in the folders "Movie Encoder Text" and "Skin Text"? Should they be translated as well?

Thanks GaciX 69 and powered_by_tux!

GaciX 69: Could you please upload your Spanish file for us? I don't have my European M3 Real with me, but it should still work in my Japanese M3 Real if I rename the file. I can post it up on the M3 Sakura FAQ to let other native Spanish-speakers try it out as well.

powered_by_tux: I can understand what challenges you might have had in trying to get the German text to fit--I had to shorten words and sentences in English as well, so the German translation must have been pretty challenging. Glad to hear that umlauts display correctly now
smile.gif
I'll make a list of all of the languages that have been completed on the M3 Sakura FAQ, along with their download links so others can try them out.

Thanks for finishing the translation, both of you!
