Okay, I'm getting my M3Real Perfect Bundle soon.

My checklist of files:
-NDS
-GBA
-System (Sakura)
-Music
-Video
-Pictures
-Homebrew
-DSOrganize
-SNES
-Random other junk on the root

Questions:
1. Does M3Sakura have ANY PDA functionality?
2. Are there any major bugs so far?
3. Is it really that bad that there isn't a soft reset function?
4. How much faster is it than the M3Real firmware?

Thanks in advance,
Drenemag

It seems your all set, all your root file are well organised and you appear to have some good homebrew apps. M3 sakura does not have a PDA function. So i suggest using DSOrganize. There are quite a few bugs but remember it is only a hacked version of a Japanese uncompleted firmware, these bugs are;

M3 Sakura FAQ said:
??No soft-reset
???????Exiting the ROM config menu requires a reboot of the DS
???????Sub-par homebrew compatibility
???????No real-time save for NDS ROMs
???????NDS-GBA linkage is not integrated
???????Not compatible with the G6 Real
???????Some GBA games need to be patch-loaded in order to save properly
???????The movie player cuts the last 3 seconds off videos
???????Some AR cheats are not supported
???????In the cheat select menu, cheat descriptions get cut off
???????Doesn't read ROM header info

I personally don't think that the soft reset function not being present at the moment is a big issue, is it really that much hassle to turn the on and off switch? The hacked version of Sakura is notably much faster than the original M3/G6 real firmware (now which i call "M3 real Classic"). If you want evidence just check out this Youtube video which goes over the GUI and does a small evaluation, remember this is not a GBAtemp review. As well as being faster, the new sakura firmware beats the old gui in every aspects. The touch sensitivity is hugely improved and very smooth and the skinning opportunities are great!.

All in all i say go for the new firmware, and if you don't like it try the "classic" firmware.

hope that helped you.

Well, gangsterboi said it all..
Having soft-reset is a nice thing, and when you get used to it, it's could be a problem not having it..

And touch response and speed of Sakura is really AMAZING!!!!! Big improvement from Real firmware..
Basically, you're all set with the things you mentioned, and when you first try Sakura out, you'll see the big picture!!

Hmmm...the video gangsterboi provided is nice.
But the M3Sakura's video player seems to freeze up briefly at times.
Oh well, not much of an issue.

If I somehow like the original firmware better, I'm going to use Moonshell instead of the DSM player.
But I suck, so I don't know how to use Moonshell...yet.

Thanks for the replies! M3Sakura looks awesome.

I have a question as well, I something that won't run in sakura when it's not DLDI patched, will it run if it's DLDI patched through booting it through M3 real classic firwmare cause it to run? Or Vice Versa?

yeah, no PDA in sakura, yoy have one in DSO tough, be sure it is birthday version!

Take the triple boot also, better that way if you face problem sakura not doing something.

i don't think that will physically patch the file.
if you'd manually patch through one of the PC dldi patchers it should fix some homebrew problems.

My Advise would be to try the "M3 real Classic" as gangsterboi calls it, then use Sakura and i'm sure you will like Sakura a lot better!

I have no experience with DSO but would like to check it out. What it this "Birthday version" will it say it some where?
