how do i get the pda working?
do i click the button on the menu or in the media section??

You need to download the PDA files first, then put it onto the root of your MicroSD. You may find the PDA files here

PDADS seems to crash a lot for me. I tried out DSOrganize and thought it was a little bit nicer.

I guess give each a shot and see what you like best. I don't think you can start DSOrganize from the main PDA menu though... not sure if it can be customized to start DSOrganize instead.
