Luma3ds won't update

I'm stuck on 10.3 trying to go to 11.0. I replaced the boot.firm with the 11.0 version. I updated the firmware to 11.16 before updating luma3ds but I heard that I should be fine.

luma3ds menu still says 10.3

you sure the sd card works or the reader itself?

I have lots of other mods that run off the sd card just fine

I hope you realize that this is not going to help anybody with the same problem.
There can be multiple reasons for the new Luma3DS boot.firm not being detected: Bad SD, Bad reader, file system corruption, naming problems (Windows not showing file extensions)...

Great if you fixed it. Why not share your solution and the cause of the problem?
