Homebrew Luma3DS Input Redirection not working with DS games

Unlike some others on this site, Luma 3DS's Rosalina input redirection works for me for basically all 3DS games. However, it just suddenly stops working when I launch a DS game. Is there a way to get this to work, or is it unfixable?
I just really want to play Super Mario 64 DS and whatnot with an actual controller.

InputRedirection doesn't work in DS mode.

Well, crud.
Pity there isn't a way to run DS games in 3DS mode, or at least to have it not disable all the 3DS stuff.
