ROM Hack Luma Update Black Screen

So I tried to update Luma on my 3ds but as soon as I did and it said "rebooting" it turned off and now it won't turn on in any way. I tried turning it on with an empty SD card, without it and I cannot seem to turn it on. I need help ;;n;;

What is your setup? What version of Luma were you on before updating? Also, wrong section.

Well you can't move it yourself, and I wouldn't recommend making a new one in the right section. Just report the thread and ask it to be moved to the "Flashcards and Custom Firmware" section.

I'm going to assume you have Luma v7.1 and boot9strap v1.0/v1.1 since updating to Luma v8.0+ from v7.1 will cause your 3DS to not boot. Redownload Luma v7.1 and move the boot.firm to your SD card, overriding the one you currently have now. Then follow https://3ds.guide/updating-b9s to update your boot9strap version and your Luma version.

If you don't have one, create one. JUst put in in SD:\GM9\Scripts

After the boot9strap install is successful you need to download Luma v8.1.1 from here: https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/releases/tag/v8.1.1

Place the "boot.firm" on the root of your SD card, and continue with the guide; or you're done if you were just updating B9S/Luma.

Is it normal that after installing boot9strap it gives an error saying "unsupported launcher"?

No, that's really optional. You just don't need most of the stuff on the SD card for the system to function properly so most people like to delete what they don't need.
