Hacking Luma 3ds error

hi I haven't been using my o3ds for a long time and there's an update to 11.6 i think but when I went to luma3ds it says this
"Could not get status code
Ret code: -660561850

FATAL ERROR
Failed to obtain required data.
Press Start to exit."

I don't know what to do and wifi is on too. I'm not system updating it now since I think there's a problem with luma3ds. Pls help me my luma3ds ver is 8.1.1

Due to github removing support for TLS 1.0/1.1 many auto updaters are broken you need to manually download the new versions of FBI, Luma Updater and Luma if you dont know how to i can explain

Install the latest version. Github removed support for TLS v1.0/v1.1, which is what previous versions of Luma Updater relied on. This has since been fixed in the latest version and you need to use that. Link to it can be found in the first post.

Its known on the luma updater thread. You can check and download the newest updater at https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-luma-updater.471739/ which will work as you want.

TLS 1.1 is pretty old & has many vulnerabilities, so Github decided to drop it.
For some reason, despite Github announcing it over a year earlier, no progress was made on forcing the 3DS to use TLS 1.2 until after the shutdown.

I just installed the CIA of FBI and Luma updater but not luma3ds. It just keeps restarting when I open luma updater

yes go ahead and just do a simple system update from system settings you didnt need to wait until you updated luma either as long as you are just running boot9strap or some kind of bootloader you can update

Sure you can. Though there should be an update feature in FBI that you can use.

Okay I was actually unable to update through that feature on the FBI app, some kind of error I will try installing from the CIA Thanks

That's probably because GitHub dropped support for the old SSL version the 3DS is using. Any updater that uses GitHub stopped working at that time.
From the changelog: "Also, the built-in updater should no longer work on versions older than 2.5.0, as GitHub has disabled TLSv1.1 support."

Thank you for your help got it all working fine now, although the FBI TitleDB isn't fully up to date things like Temper3ds (turboGRFX) and Snes9xfor 3ds update to older versions, not the end of the world tho.
