Homebrew lost pokemon sun save

so i lost my pokemon sun game so i downloaded it from freeshop but my save isnt there. is there any way to fix this and get my save back?

Sadly no. Unless the game saves to sd (very few cat ridge games save to sd) there is no way to recover save. Unless you find the cartridge

So moral of story use homebrew to backup saves periodically

I mean for now, start over? Search your room all over for the cart, extract the save and implement it into the cia version of the game for safety?
