Hello! Did your wii u work as usual before the system update? I ordered a Wii U with the same problem and with system version 5.5.1 and I hope I can hack it without updating. I'll write here about my results later.

Dump the system crash logs, so we can see the details. 5.5.1 should be exploitable. If you neither get the Browser exploit nor DNSpresso to work UDPIH should still work

I'm facing the error "can't write simple pairing mode: input/output error (5)". I tried running bluubomb on a PC, on two laptops and on a steam deck and I always get this error. I tried to disable simple pairing mode according to the instructions on github, but that didn’t help either. maybe there is a solution?

so far i'm trying to use only the bluubomb method, my wii u gives error 160-2215 when entering mii maker and starts all over again. I'm ready to buy a raspberry pi pico and use the UDPIH method. Is it possible to replace wup files using DNSpresso?

I was able to run DNSpresso! but I don't know if it's possible to replace the wup mii maker. when I select the wii u menu I am again asked to create a mii and the same error comes out

Hi !
I'm bumping that becausde i'm back with that Wii U still dead.

I'd like to restore it in order to just do something, but I'm still stuck.
To summarize (from what i remember) :

• When I boot it back then some apps were crashing
• After an update, the Wii U did brick. No screen console wise, but still linked to the Gamepad (can turn it on from it)
• After a few seconds, connexion error from the gamepad.

I want to try in 2026 hoping new tools are available to make this work. Obviously second hand so no nand backup etc. Just a Wii U and some dreams

I don't want to let this Wii U down.
