Here's the ones I've tried out so far:
    - War of the Monsters (not as good as I remember playing years ago)
    - Gundam (think it was one of those shitty Dynasty Warriors' reskinned games so nothing special)
    - Zone of the Enders (really enjoyed it but not quite there)

I've purchased Tech Romancer for Dreamcast and the gameplay looks to be pretty fun and it's a 2D fighter so it probably suits me, but I'd like something more along the lines of 3D (like WotM/ZotE).

Edit: Don't suggest me Titanfall that's just another shooter with mechs involved.

Ive never played them but Ive heard lots about the Armored Core series. There are a billion of them so one has to be good right?

I would suggest Front Mission Evolved, but its shiz so dont mess with that one.

Played this on my 360, it was fun for like 5mins but trying to revive the mech from a breakdown it's just impossible regardless of how much mashing buttons it's done.

It's an oldie, but still: the One Must Fall series (I really liked OMF 2097 back in the day...).

The gundam games are probably the best DW games in my personal opinion.

Also, this arguably doesn't count, but have you played Ace Combat games? (in particular 4, Zero, or X) There's also the Armored Core which are basically THE mech games in my book (at least in PS2 era) but I'm not sure I can say their control schemes hold up to modernity.

Have you ever played the Custom Robo series? I enjoyed the DS entry very much.

I also played Pacific Rim for the 360 and it is pretty much an exact copy of this game. I was expecting a ton of fun outta it and ended up "oh.. it's Real Steel again".

Does a 'Brawl' mode exist in Titanfall?

I remember a SNES Gundam Wing fighter that was very fun, don't ask the exact name.
