Remember many of the micro SD brands are made by the same factory.

The following are all the same card:
Toshiba 1GB
Kingston 1GB
Dane-Elec 1GB
Viking 1GB

All made in the same Japanese factory, so don't pay more for one brand over another ( they all have at least a 5 yr guarantee). All these should be faster than the standard Sandisc micro sd .
Its not worth paying more for Sandisc micro SD cards as they are not one of the best ( unless you go for the expensive ultra II card ).

Just bought a Viking 1G ( £13 delivered from ebay). I already have a Dane-Elec 1GB and that works without problems in the R4 DS.

I'd also like to know if anyone has tried the 1GB Corsair MicroSD card. I can get one on sale for fairly cheap.

I saw a Corsair MicroSD card for pretty cheap too but instead i went for a Kingston one instead just because people on this forum talked more about the kingston and its compatible to an R4 from the R4 site itself. i personally think corsair is a good buy since i use their ram for my comp but really i didnt help a bit for you lol

I've got a Sandisc 1GB, Taiwan. Had occasional freezes with POR until I formatted it FAT16, 64k clusters. Now no freezing on POR, Dawn of Sorrow intro runs perfect . Do get slowdown on Tony Hawks DJ though.

I read that even if your microSD card is fast, It might not be used to its full potential. It really depends on what you're using it in, some electronics might not be able to handle the speed so your microSD's speed goes down. Maybe the R4 can't handle your cards full speed? I hope I made a good choice on getting a 1GB ADATA.
