I'm looking for a good up-tempo action game. I've really liked Ninja Gaiden, The World Ends With You and the Bleach games, because they have a fast pace and a good combo system. I've also played and liked Jump Ultimate Stars, but that was a bit slow for my taste. I've also played Soma Bringer and Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles, but I was really disappointed by those games by the gameplay, especially Final Fantasy.

wow you want action games and 3/7 was RPGs and two were fighting games (bleach, but i dont know if they released something else of that title than fighting) [IMG]

Good action games: Metal Slug 7, Contra 4, they are hard and fun and fast

Action games are not the same thing as action rpg ^^ (just a heads up)

Well the best thing would be a very good action game with rpg elements, like TWEWY. I've played several action rpg's like Soma Bringer, Final Fantasy CC and Revenant Wings, and Summon Night Twin Age. Those games seriously stink, because the gameplay is so boring ( I just know I'm going to be flamed for this.) The reason I liked the games mentioned, is because of the fast combat en combo system.

Hehe nothing wrong with that ^^ Everybody has their own taste in games. Im a traditional RPG player myself.

Okey good action RPG: In august comes Kingdom Hearts 356½ to the DS (dont know if its the US release or jap). Well the DS actually have very few games that meets your criteria :/ The ps2 on the other hand has ALOT to offer:P

KH 358/2 has a May J release and maybe a Q3 US release.

Back on topic: Good action RPGs\- Avalon Code is the best IMO. Excellent action games: GTA, I kinda liked Gundam 00 too.

Heres a whole list of DS action RPGs :

Thx for the tips. I was already really looking forward to KH.
But Castlevania, seriously I can't understand why people like that game. That game is slow as hell and the controls are stiff and awful IMO. Avalon Code looks interesting and so does Gundam 00. Looks a bit like Custom Robo Arena. I liked that game too, only it got boring pretty fast.

I think Crash the Titan may be one of the good action games.
Even though the controlling is not really OK to compare with the previous Crash games. But it's good enough for DS with complete 3D graphics.

Try Spiderman: Web of Shadows. I love this game. No RPG elements though.
