Here is my Atari Lynx emulator for the DS, most games seem to run ok (at least on the DSi).
There is sound though you have to enable it under settings, it can eat a lot of cpu, I have tried to make it use as little as possible.
I hope save states work.
The Lynx is really different compared to everything else I've emulated before, 8 timers plus 4 timers for audio and Suzy the sprite engine which is kind of a GPU which rasterizes to a frame buffer.
I hope people find it interesting =)

You are a wizard @FluBBa a big thank you for this new emulator, it's really great.

I know that the tool is not always adapted according to the structure of the code but are you considering using the possibility of adding a possible compatibility with a memory expansion pak for owners of ds lite/phat or not at all?

Anyway, it's already huge, I didn't imagine that one day I would see lynx games running on ds lite and you made that a reality, it's just huge, you still managed to improve the speed, to add the sound and the choice of the Lynx II for the display is just crazy, it's really great work, once again, thank you very much! :grog:

Thank you for sound and all the improvement. Save states works, but not for all the roms. It works for Gauntlet, but doesn't for Chip's Challenge, game just freeze right after the state is loaded. But right here is not big deal, we've got level codes and in-game skip option. On DSi works great with sound, knowing that we've got emulated gpu for scalled sprites is pretty cool. I wonder if there could be additional 2x integer scaling for sharp pixels. ( it cut 16px of each side of screen, seems to be acceptable for CC).

It's a shame there are so few titles available. As for homebrew games, I don't think there's one. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The Atari Lynx homebrew community is very much alive, there's been multiple games released in the past 20 years. You can find many of them on the AtariAge forums
Yes, it looks like the Atari Lynx homebrew community is still very active. Although not as productive as the homebrew scene of other consoles, but there are still interesting homebrews that can be tried.

Have you tried pressing B to return to the game once the save state has been loaded (I mean right after the state loaded message appears) ?

I tried on the latest version (v1.4) with Chip's Challenge and for me it works correctly

Hi, this is my first post in gbatemp. These emulators and the whole concept is so interesting that made me create an account here.

I don't have a DS but I noticed you released this for GBA as well. I tried it and it works but it's very slow, also a part of the screen is glitchy somehow (of course I tried it with an emulator).
I hope it gets better, but your work is great overall, keep it up.

A little extra explanation on how I came here:
What I'm about to say may sound strange, but I don't have a DS neither a GBA, but I do have several Symbian OS based phones, which are a good environment for retro games and emulation.
I was looking for a NGP/NGPC emulator for Symbian and there was nothing but I came across NGPGBA accidentally.
There are a few decent GBA emulators for Symbian, so I used nested emulators trick😅
I ran the NGPGBA emulator on a GBA emulator and the result was surprising.
So, that's why I think you did a great job.
I may record and share a few videos on NGPGBA + GBA emulator on Symbian later, and maybe someday for LodjurGBA :)

Lodjur should be pretty easy to port to Symbian (or any other ARM platform) if you know what you are doing, the only thing that is HW dependant is the conversion of the screen buffer (and sound output if you need that).
Yeah, it should be easy. Not only Lodjur, but the SDL port of Handy is one of the easy options for porting to Symbian. But I'm not an experienced Symbian developer so I'll stick to your GBA emulators for now.😅
