The graphics in the game are vector based.
It's not possible on the DS because of lack of aliasing on 2D rotation, and if you tired it in 3D everything would slow to a crawl.
Also the game is developed and produced by Sony Computer Entertainment, look at the copywrite screens in the game.
It'd be more likely to get an Ape Escape on the DS.
