Local play between modded (chip) OLED Switch and Switch 2 not working

When playing on emu with the modded OLED, on multiple games (I have tested on Pokémon BDSP and Pokémon Let's Go series), I can access local play as per usual, but the consoles simply don't appear to see one another. I have tried restarting both, but I have no idea where I would start as far as troubleshooting goes. Any ideas?

It should work out-of-the-box.
Are both games on the latest version?
We had the same issue with AnimalCrossing where it would simply not work unless the latest version was installed.

With LocalPlay, 1 switch becomes the wifi accesspoint and the others connect to it.
Some games use the existing Wifi network and in that case you need to be on the same Wifi network.
Other things that might be related is that each user must have it's own unique Nintendo account.
