It seems on my Chinese 1st Gen R4 that every time I load more than one .NDS file on it, that I get stuck on a "Loading..." screen forever.

Firmware 1.07, US Modular 1GB MicroSD

I'm using a full-size SD adapter, and am worried about using the clear blue adapter it came with.

What do you recommend?

And have you experienced his error?

I have not experienced this error myself, but this sort of problem is commonly caused by the card reader.

At least one person has said that they had no problems with the reader that came with th R4, but they did have problems with a different one. It's usually the other way around.

Try it in the reader that came with the R4. It's highly unlikely that it will destroy your card, or burn your house down. I have that same clear blue card reader and it seems to work. I had one minor problem once (a zero byte file that wouldn't delete) that I assumed was caused by the reader, but other than that it worked fine.

Do not listen to this man's lies!

Just kidding, it doesn't hurt to try though.
Or just buy a new reader...
They aren't that expensive

I'll go ahead and give it a try.

I had the same problem, even made a thread about it. I changed from Sandisk reader, to the bundled reader... and all was fine after that.

It's a hit or miss on that damn blue card reader. Mine got transfer errors sometimes and a friend says his works fine. just spend the $10 on a good card reader

I spend $22 on a Sandisk Multi card reader, and it's been 100% perfect up until I used it for the R4 purposes. I think it might have had something to do with using the full sized SD adapter for the card reader. I don't really know why, but that's the only thought I can come up with. Using the supplied reader, you're not using any adapters, and maybe that's the best way to do it.
