Seems to be a 5.1 only thing. People updating are reporting fixes.

I just thinking that, actually can we build DevMenu .nsp and install it via tinfoil? If possible, we can install updates/dlcs too!

So wait just installing the NSPs gets me banned? Or going online with the installed NSPs? I'd assume it's just installing them at all but figured I'd check

Going online with a .NSP is a greater risk than installing it, hypothetically speaking. But very few, if not any, people have been banned for using .NSP files for the time being.

I think it depends on HOW you install them. Like if you use devmenu then the ban risk is much greater than if you use tinfoil

Why is this happening when I try to launch ReiNX? I've been using hekate up until now so all I did was add the downloaded files from this post to my SD. (using the ReiNX payload from the DL)

Figured I would mention that I set up Hekate to autoboot the ReiNX sysmodules along with FTPD and it works great. This way I can upload NSPs straight to the Switch without having to reboot or launch FTPD manually. Extremely handy and everything resumes from sleep mode without a hitch. Feels nice to retire my bent paperclip carefully engineered RCM jig for a little while.

I had tried the paperclip thing and completely busted the pins on my right joycon rail, making the right joycon unusable when connected in handheld mode. You should install autoRCM, much less of a hassle.

AutoRCM still has many issues. A much safer way is to just use a thin piece of tinfoil to bridge pins 9 and 10 on the joycon itself, it's what i personally use

I used that trick to install AutoRCM, could you link to these issues if they're documented?

Because devmenu is a Nintendo app, they can recognize it's use much easier i think. And they probably know it's been leaked by now

I'm not sure if they still are or if they are still present but i remember reading some threads here that mentioned AutoRCM being responsible for battery desync

I considered it but writing to BOOT0 directly doesn't sit well with me. Shoving a paperclip into a $300 piece of hardware doesn't feel much better I'll admit.

Exactly, their anti piracy security is much, MUCH tighter on the Switch than on the 3ds. If you recall, devmenu was also leaked on the 3ds yet Nintendo barely did anything about it but on the switch the security and the punishments are much higher
