Sure they picked the day their servers would be most stressed. It's not hard to knockdown video game servers on the day of the year when everyone unwraps their gift. I could ping them with a typewriter and it would crash just as fast.

I unboxed my brothers xbox yesterday and updated because I had a feeling this would happen

Little children that have nothing better to do.

Don't give them attention, they will grow bored of it soon.

I wanna see them do this on a Tuesday in april when no one is on the servers then I'll be impressed. I still won't care but I'll be more impressed.

Isn't April near to Easter?
Some day in June would be better, preferably on a regular working day where Australia/Merica sleeps and Europe is at work/school.
Least amount of traffic.
That would be impressive indeed

Honestly tho.
Real hackers won't announce their stupid shit on twitter.
Real hackers won't announce anything, they just do it.

This Snail group, gekko squad, whatever their called are the same as that stupid lulsec duo/trio.
Their just out there for attention.

They keep making ransoms to (retweet 5k, 10k, 15k or the servers wont come on) gain twitter followers. attention seeking.

inflated egos and script kiddies who think they are pro hackers are never a good combination
they might have distributed malware in a popular torrent to run loic, or maybe they just have a shit ton of servers at their disposal
