Liteon 1175 hacked.

Good news for those who have a Liteon 1175 in their 360's

The xkey team has decrypted the drive FW completely,
It's now able to be emulated by the ODDE.

As for those with a Hitachi,
You still need to RGH your console and grab the CPU key + FRCT.bin.


No ETA on when the new feature will be implemented for the Liteon 1175.

Hitachi (Xenon/Zephyr/maybe Falcon)
Ben-q (Falcons/Opus)
Liteon (Jasper/Kronos)

Liteon (Trinity/Corona)
Hitachi (Mostly Corona)


As for drive revisions, there's a lot!

The only drives that aren't flashable with conventional tools are:
Liteon 1175
Hitachi 0500
Hitachi 0502

These are all Slim drives, (Slims that are hackable require extra hardware/nasty hacks)
Phat drives are all hackable with a PMT(Probe3) a SATA connection (compatible chipset or X360 USBPro or Via PCI SATA)
and optionally a connectivity kit like the CK3i

Meaning we probably will see a similar Hitachi solution or maybe they'll figure a way out to add support to dumping the DVD key with their Gecko.

Surely we start somewhere, but if it's going to require RGH, then this is pointless unless they figure a way to use the old fashioned solution.

It's not really pointless.

It also adds the benefit of having your CPUkey + NAND so that you can RGH it on a later date when XBLive for the 360 is taken down.

Eventually it might lead to easier ways of flashing the drive.
It's a matter of sitting back and waiting.

If a hacker is terrible, can you still derisively call them a hack, or would that just be a compliment?

If their contributing at least something useful then I think they deserve some recognition.

TX just announced a replacement PCB especially for 1175 so something is going to happen soon . I just wonder how will they get the keys without RGH
