Will updating Breath of the Wild also ask for a firmware update?
If with updating you talk about online, yes. This seams to force latest version as far as I know.
Otherwise using a cartridge "upgrade" you can check the thread in my signature to find out what version it will require.
In that case remember that not every cartridge contains an update! (While BotW 001 does)

I have played Doom on 3.0.2 today and it worked! So I confirm it requires 3.0.2 not 4.0, I was not connected to Internet when I played

I understand from the OP that Just dance 2017 is playable in 3.0.0.
However from my past experience (playing at my friend's home), you will need to connect to the Ubisoft server for some songs.

Will that require an update in Firmware?
Or it will ask you to only if you are trying to access E-shop?

Figuring out if I shall buy Just dance 2017 while sitting on my 3.0.0 console.

I have the switch on 2.0.0 and I see rayman work on 2.3.0 (and lower) but it ask me to update the console I don't have an update download on the console and I don't have the console connect it to the internet, so what happen if I accept the update? It update the switch to 2.3.0? I want homebrew but with all the posts on internet I don't know if it is better to stay on 2.0 or get the pokken and update to 3.0.0 to start with homebrew thanks!
