Works fine. You cant even go super user in Ubuntu (su). Constantly typing in sudo is annoying (sudo is a one time su, or 5 minutes) Get the live CD. I used to use Ubuntu, but wireless kept dropping out............

What do you mean? "sudo su" works for me

It's even possible to login as super user!

Type su into a terminal and tell me what happens? They may have added it since I last used it

sudo su/sudo -s(on ubuntu) and su are basically the same thing but there is one major difference, when using sudo su the root's config files aren't loaded(which sucks ass for some people).

I advise against using su on personal computers because many people forget to switch back and fuck up their systems.

If you don't like either approach(sudo or su) then just edit your /etc/sudoers or enable the root account.
