Yes, you'll lose the actual installed binaries, but not the configurations for them. So reinstalling them isn't that bad. To do what I said, do this in a terminal.

sudo -s
mount -t ext4 /dev/sda7 /mnt
cp -R /home/youruser /mnt/home
umount /mnt
exit

You're welcome. In case you have any problems with permissions after the move, you can do this.

sudo chown -R youruser:youruser /home/youruser
