It's harder, in a 3x3 the center pieces don't move relative to each other, so you can't just say "Okay I'll start with the white side" since there is no white side (to begin with anyway)Veho said:Why does your life as a Rubik's Cube have a dark blotch on one of the white fields? Is it supposed to be symbolical, or is your Rubik's Cube just dirty?
It's the logo thing. Every (real) Rubik's cube has one on a white side.
QUOTE(Julian Sidewind @ Jul 6 2011, 02:59 PM) I've always been curious about this. Would the 4-slot cubes be easier than the 3-slot cubes because they don't have a set position in the middle?
I've not bothered with them in ages, I used to be quite fast with (3x3 under a minute, 4x4 in under 4 and 5x5 in under 10) but I've completely forgetten a lot of algorithms now I wouldn't like to see my times anymore.AlanJohn said:OMG you're a cuber too?
Me too.
I can solve a 3x3 in about 39 seconds, I can solve a 4x4 in 2 minutes.

Make sure it's NOT a video though
Once that uses things like "Ri Di R D" etc
I could probably put up a guide here if there's enough people wanting it?
