Homebrew libdi and mplayer question

im trying to install libdi on the homebrew channel and i have a wasabi modchip
so should I choose basic install or patchmii install

try the patchmii one since the normal one is for users without a modchip

EDIT: I figured out how to install patchmii finally.

Is this supposed to allow me to play Trucha discs again without using GeckoOS? I read in many different forums that it does... but it didnt seem to work for me. I still get an error when I stick in one of those discs. Is it true? I was hoping I didnt have to downgrade I don't want to have to use GeckoOS anymore.

Discs that use the signing bug would be booted through the Disc Channel. As far as I know, the 'DVDX' channel only allows for DVD discs to be run on homebrew applications that can accept them, and does not change anything on the Disc Channel. Therefore, yes, you would either need to downgrade, or continue to use GeckoOS to boot discs that use the signing bug.
