Hacking legit AceKard2i

Hey...so I finally got my AceKard2i, I decided to order from Console Source...I know you guys don't like them but I got my R4 from way back and my GFs R4 from there and it was fine. My friend recently got an AceKard2 as well, so I figured why not go with something that was been good, until now.

Basically the AceKard2i that I got (I ordered just the card) didn't come in the same packaging as I've seen. It came in a box with just the card. There is no rise in the middle (like a box shape as seen in the review) and there are not plastic teeth to seperate the connectors...did I just get ripped off or are their different designs for the AceKard2i?

EDIT: Also the sticker is just silver, it doesn't shine different colours as seen in some pictures...I'm beginning to think I got ripped off...

It loads on the DS as Acekard 2i. It works with the official and AKAio firmware. I don't see what the big deal is. I still think it's the real deal with new build quality (I'd say worsen because of the teeth but a less-raised Actel chip is nice).

From the looks of it, it seems possible that whoever sold the card to you put it in the original packaging for an AK2, rather than the AK2i's packaging. The card itself doesn't look fake... But I suppose the best way to tell would be to boot it on a DSi, if you have access to one. ._.

Maybe the box was just swapped? I don't know for sure... But it looks real to me~!

And this question is sort of off topic, but want to know, how fast was the shipping from ConsoleSource? I am planning on buying something from them, and was wondering how fast it was... (From Ontario, Canada)

Splych: I'm from Vancouver B.C. so maybe a slight difference in shipping but I got mine delivered in 4 business days. The 2 R4s I had ordered (for myself and my GF) back in Nov 2007 were also delivered in 5 business days.

Yeah, just the most basic one because from experience it's been good

not too sure about that because their prices have always been on par so I never bothered to ask them.

Mine came in the same packing, no bubble in the middle, and looks just like that one. =) Mine works great.

Seriously. I ordered two from DX, and one from realhotstuff.com
The order from RHS came in looking EXACTLY like the pictures he has here. The DX acekards aren't even in yet. I just googled up acekard pics and took the first one I found.

Oh yea, and just so you know, this is a legit AceKard 2i.

I just checked out there website recently, and I noticed the box is what you described. Check out the site and go to the AceKard 2i section. You will see both the plastic and box for the casing.
