"Valve will reveal downloadable content for its popular zombie-fueled shooter Left 4 Dead, "shortly." According to a video podcast with Kotaku, Chet Faliszek, one of the game's writers, confirmed that the team was looking to add Versus functionality to the Dead Air and Death Toll campaigns and to release brand new scenarios.

Faliszek also stated that, unlike Team Fortress 2, Valve plans to release DLC for the Xbox 360 and PC at the same time. During the recording, which took place on December 15, Faliszek speculated that DLC news would be releases before Christmas Day but said the announcement could be delayed due to the press team going on vacation. "We'll have an announcement shortly, I don't know exactly when."

No pricing details for either platforms were discussed."

I've been waiting. I've been playing on hacked Dead Air and Death Toll versus servers on the PC version the past few days. Truth be told I don't really see the big deal on why they weren't released in the first place...

What can I say I'm a man who loves shooting zombies. Then promptly marking their corpses with my Jinjo. *Points to the three in my sig.*

I guess Free map packs etc. will go down into history as the good old days

The PC Version is 100% guaranteed to get the DLC for free.
The 360 version, Valve says they're trying. Microsoft doesn't want to play ball.

That's one thing I don't like about Microsoft. When it comes to DLC or new content, money always have to come out of people's pockets.

Good, maybe they'll give us some new levels.
It gets boring playing the same levels over and over sometimes.

Hopefully they'll be adding new zombies and weapons, now that would be cool.

I hope they will add more levels to play at, because the same 4 levels get old quick. I'm expecting at least 2 new levels... hopefully more. And like JPH said, it would be awesome if they added new SI and weapons.

What we know about the DLC so far from all previous interviews and the like.
*The first thing they're releasing are the Versus Campaigns for Death Toll and Dead Air.
*The first batch of DLC will include atleast one new Campaign.
*They've hinted at new weapons, but nothing concrete.
*The Left 4 Dead SDK will be released around the time of the first DLC.

Awesome, but I'm certainly not expecting to pay for it, Dead Air and Death Toll versus should've been released with the game really.

New weapons and new campaign would be great too

.
Custom L4D levels could be cool, but incredibly difficult to design without glitches. It'll be interesting to see what people come up with.

Microsoft's really a bitch when it concerns DLC. Valve wants it to be free so let it be!

Heard people will have to pay for TF2 updates on the Xbox too.
Good though I have the Steam version =D

Source SDK is fun to mess with, want it to be released.
Can't decide to try to make a mod or a map.
