I already have a modded vWii I meant my Wii U menu is not modded by no haxchi but I can use Mocha, do you know if these would work? I don’t wanna risk testing on my Wii U if it requires haxchi.
You need modded system if you mod and boot into mocha then yes you can use these but need to be using either CBHC, mocha or haxchi in order to use oddly you can also use these without a modded vWii which is pretty neat

Also latest Not64 is coming very soon however I'm unable to test to it link will be here soon (Sorry about Delay)

I wanna mod the Wii U I wish there was a free way, I don’t wanna buy a DS vc or sacrifice the ones i have.

Just copy the game to usb. The game will still work even when used as the haxchi title. I've tested it
Hold on, you mean I can make a copy of a DS vc title one on the external hard drive and one on the internal memory and I’d have two copies that I can use haxchi on one?
The browser method is free but have to do it every boot I believe and run haxchi or mocha

Haxchi doesn’t work without using a DS vc title as a sacrifice afaik, mocha works but requires an installation every time you boot back to the main menu plus it’s limited since you can’t use it to launch third party software or injected titles, I was able to use it to install third party software before but unable to run them.

I took a picture of it on my system. I'm using brain age, this is cbhc, and I tested the game (worked without issue):

just copy the game. the usb takes priority when it's plugged in. and, cbhc, uses the system.xml in the config folder of slc to force it to load that title id. it doesn't give a partition location, just title id, so the mlc is hard coded into the loading portion. anyway, just copy the game. then, install cbhc. if you do that, you can load the game while also using it for cbhc. it's not hard at all. don't know why nintendo allowed moving as well as copying, I mean why would you need two copies of a game? the game will be the cbhc game if you turn on the system with the usb unplugged.

I have a question as well: Is it possible to get a USB Loader GX forwarder for the Wii U side that runs when the c2w patcher is applied? I know there's hardly a reason why you would patch the system then go play a wii/gamecube game, but I'm toying around with an idea for CBHC to autoboot into the c2w patcher, and this would definitely help if possible.

btw, you need the hbl, probably hbc, on an sd card to use these forwarders, even if they're installed. I once tried using the usb loader gx forwarder on the wii u menu, after changing the homebrew launcher to a plugin manager to use the dark theme, and that gave me a black screen. it should flash blue if it's working.

there's a way to use forwarders on the vwii by using hbl2hbc, but I don't know what c2w is.
Thanks for the fast response for starters :) The 'Sign c2w patch' is the overclock feature that lets you run vWii emulators with the Wii u's hardware, thus boosting performance. The USB Loader GX isn't an emulator, but I was hoping there was a way to still allow it to run even if the wii u system is patched with c2w. (I get a black screen when trying to select USB Loader GX while patched otherwise)

not sure. I've never tried it. maybe the vwii doesn't like the patch or something?
It definitely doesn't, since both of my USB Loader GX and the vWii channel itself gives a black screen while patched. But I was hoping since the channel forwarders in this thread were designed to work with the vWii while patched, this could also be a thing? A very niche thing, I know. :P

Edit: And if anybody who reads this can point me in the right direction, I'm only asking about USB Loader GX. Not the vWii channel itself.

So just to clarify, as I’m tempted to try this method, I should copy Mario Kart 64 DS on the internal memory, turn off the Wii U, unplug the HDD, turn it on again, follow the tutorial to install Haxchi over it, and then I should still be able to run Mario 64 DS off my HDD while still having access to HBC? Is that what you’re saying?

How is it that no one ever mentioned this, every tutorial is like “buy Brain Age because it’s cheap and nobody likes it” if only I can sacrifice DK64 that’s a wasted $10 I’ll never see because I bought the game over the hype thinking it’s gonna be good... it’s baaaaad.

I think so. I mostly just use the other copy to play the game I created. I know it worked with my haxchi, the icon and name didn't change, but I never tested it. I did test the game once I uninstalled cbhc, then deleted it.

Sorry guys about the lack of update info I've been mega busy and haven't gotten round to Not64 update but it's coming when I don't know but will be soon I've just had a lot on and looking after my 2yr old who's only just started nursery for a few hours a day so I get a little free time to hopefully update all the emulators as well and think 1st post will get a full edit and be simplified and everything can be found in 1 place

Hey man, you're back and you're good. :yay: Family and IRL stuff comes first.

Edit: My original question was if there was a USB Loader GX Wii U forwarder that would work with the c2w overclock patcher. The best I could find was a forwarder that would work but couldn't load games from USB. I found a post recently that answers my question:
https://gbatemp.net/threads/usb-loader-gx-vwii-with-gamepad.605416/

So atm it sounds like a no.
