Share what's the last game you've played recently.
It doesn't matter if you still enjoy your Atari or if you're playing PS5/XBOX games.

Tell us how is it, if you're just starting it, or if you've completed it.

Remember to use Spoiler Tags when necessary. Don't ruin the game experience for other people!

I've made two "Gameboy Macro" recently and I've been testing them with this particular game.
Turns out it's pretty nice, and it's exciting when you literally save the ball from falling if you're skilled enough to "shake" the table at the right time.
Also, the catching and evolving Pokemon mechanic is challenging. It has about 200 different Pokemon scattered across 2 Pinball tables.
I've found myself playing this in my Wii also, through RetroArch using mGBA.
If you like Pinball games, this one is perfect for you.

Another one I've found myself playing recently is this 16bit game that might look cheesy at first:

Don't get fooled, it's one of the hardest platformers I've played. I haven't made it too far in this one, because the levels are LONG and has many secrets on them.
This could fall into the "Collect-a-thon" category, but it's not a requirement to finish a level. It's mostly just for points and extra lives... and trust me, you'll need the extra lives. The controls are very nice.
The Level Design is not the best ever, but considering the amount of collectibles it has, it's understandable why Level Design is a complete mess (but challenging enough to make it interesting).

Finished Final Fantasy Tactics A2 (DS) a couple of days ago. Right in at about 120 hours, I think. Did most of the sidequests. Having a lot of trouble letting go of it, though. I just needed (and perhaps still do) its lighthearted charm. It plays great, has fun characters, and its story ties together with the sidequests in really cool ways. I'm now just cleaning up any remaining sidequests I put off.

Kuru Kuru Kururin (GBA). Fun and unique game series (this game is the first of three) about piloting a spinning rod through mazes without hitting the sides. Yesterday I played through the three levels in Ice Land, which is a little past halfway through the game, and I got the stars for each level for completing them with no mistakes, plus I got the best times for the first two. I didn't manage to get the best time for the third before getting tired and giving up, which was frustrating, as that would have been a very neat stopping point. Will hopefully clear that today when more awake.

Couldn't find a screenshot of Ice Land, so have a random gif of someone failing a lot:

I've been playing a lot with my Wii. I'd usually just turn it on to find more roms compatible with Arcade RetroArch-Wii cores.

But today's hunt is finished and I just sat and played an old favourite: "Magic Jewelry" for the NES.

It's simple, blocks of three colors falls, match three or more of the same color to make them disappear, earn points and collect Jewels.
Every 70 consecutive Jewels collected, the game rewards you with a special block that eliminates all Jewels of the same color. This is important because you can keep the count of how many you need to get the special block, fill the screen and then use the special block for a massive chain reaction.

I just lost my game, but it's nice going back to childhood games:

Been playing Goblin Sword on Switch, and Tales of Vesperia.
Recently completed Pan-Pan.

Both Goblin Sword and Pan-Pan were bought with points, redeemed from some used games and a couple I bought recently.
Pan-Pan is a game to be experienced, but it's way expensive for a game that lasts 30 minutes.
Goblin Sword is amazing.

Watch us get kicked in the azz for necrobumping.

I was playing with MOH. And was doing pretty good. Not great, but surviving. :)

Finally got tired of thinking strategies, that I had to stop, and put it down.

Last edited by AncientBoi,
I started Yoshi's Island DS a few weeks ago on my R4. Thanks to a cheap SD card, I lost the save a while ago, so I began a new game.

It plays similarly to the SNES title, only there are two screens to platform and throw eggs around instead of one. Plus instead of Baby Mario, you have to travel with other baby characters like Luigi Peach, DK, and Wario. Apparently, there's a huge difficulty spike after World 2 (which I'm not even at yet) that might make me quit the playthrough entirely, but we'll see. The level design so far is nothing too exciting or memorable, and the OST is okay compared to the original SNES installment.
