Hardware Laptop within this simple budget

Sorry for necroposting, but I havent gotten a laptop yet, but I definitely has the means now! This caught my eye. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834313582

The Lenovo IdeaPad Z710. I've heard mixed things about this laptop. But it seems decent for its price.

Definitely, but from what I've read, this little bundle of sweet cheese has problems running things on high since the laptop has two graphic chips in it. The Intel GPU and teh Nvidia.

Most of the Optimus issues have been resolved, my laptop has dual GPUs (Intel HD3000 and GT666M, as long as drivers are up to date, you should be fine, and I highly suggest a cooler as it will get very hot under load, and to give it proper airflow when on your lap

Any laptop you find with any 2GB GPU/dedicated graphics usually has the processor and memory good enough for PS2 an Wii.
You can get by with 1GB but 2GB is recommended. An i5 processor is often adequate. More than 8GB is overkill with little benefit.
