Hey all,

So, I'm trying to use the ACNH Save Editor and I'm stuck on the first step which is getting my game data onto my laptop. It doesn't detect my Switch at all and I've tried 3 different cables, including my phone cable which also uses USB-C. And nothing.

I don't think there's any problems with the Switch itself since it works perfectly with the Dock and I only got it a year ago so it's relatively new still. I have looked up many tutorials to see if the Switch folder is hidden on my laptop or it has been disabled somehow but I can't see any problems.

I'm going to try on my mum's PC to see if it's just my laptop being faulty but in the meantime, is there any help I could get?

(My laptop doesn't have any issues as far as I can see since when I plug in my phone, the files from my phone show up straight away).

Your switch has to be hacked getting it a year ago it can't be hacked

Do you mean with custom firmware? I've hacked my 3DS with Homebrew and all that so i know the process. Are newer Switches unable to do that?

Depending on what you got , if you one of the newer model you probably need a SX Core/HWFLY Modchip

Thank you. It says my switch is possibly patched so that's a huge shame.

So in terms of that, is it really not possible to connect my Switch to my laptop without it being hacked?

connecting it to your computer doesn't solve your issue, you need CFW to get access to decrypting your save. Unless you got a v1 unpatched you probably need the SX Core/HW Fly
