Laptop internet dropping ?

Windows 8 64 bit

I upgraded to windows 8 a few weeks ago and over the past few days the wireless has been disconnecting for about 15 seconds at random times. It shows I'm connected but pages dont load, games dont run on wifi and then it connects itself again without me doing anything.
I thought it was my internet just going out but it is still happening on another wireless connection.

It happens every 20~minutes or so and goes out for 10-20 seconds max then reconnects?

If its an issue with my wireless card (hopefully not? ) can I replace it on a laptop

If I were you, I would install/reinstall the latest driver software for your wireless card, perhaps a version released specifically for Windows 8.

Power down your router for a few minutes then turn it on again failing that check for newer drivers and your power settings

I realized that it was only happening during the time that it was not plugged in so I think its that. If it keeps happening I will reinstall the drivers

It does happened to my laptop with windows 7 too and I updated my latest wireless driver and it didn't dropping ever since.
