Homebrew LameBoy Cheating / sav files?

I wanna be able to load my .sav file from VBA with the cheats saved aswell.

is there any way of doing this?

or how do i go about permentaly adding cheats to a ROM file.

1. File->Export->Battery Save
2. Put Battery Save into same directory as the Gameboy ROM
3. Rename save to "GAMEBOYROMFILENAMEGOESHERE.sav"
