I am disturbed by the growing trend of racist undertones that are cropping up in video games.

One of the games that comes to mind is "Left 4 Dead 2." ...Set in New Orleans, players will have to fight their way through hordes of zombies - with several of them who appear to be African-Americans. When I saw the first trailer for the game, all I could think about was Hurricane Katrina and the aftermath...

The game that really inspired this blog entry was Ubisoft's "Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood." The game starts out with players assuming the role of Ray, a Confederate officer... the Confederacy, as far as I am concerned, wanted to keep their cheap slave labor and the like. I can not stand the Confederate flag... To me, the flag represents hate -- and offends me and many others to no end. [It] made me wonder how much research Ubisoft did for this game...

As a minority, had the South won, I wouldn't be in this position I am today...

Several out of a horde? If this game is racist...its against white people.

I have seen numerous games were you are encouraged to fight, shoot and kill white people.

And as a white person I was offended.

As a p1ngpong, how do you feel about THAT mini game on Wii Play?

I am disturbed by the growing trend of racist undertones that are cropping up in video games.

One of the games that comes to mind is "Left 4 Dead 3." ...Set in Maine, players will have to fight their way through hordes of zombies - with several of them who appear to be Caucasian-Americans. When I saw the first trailer for the game, all I could think about was the North American ice storm of 1998 and the aftermath...

This part isn't very nice.

I can not stand the Confederate flag... To me, the flag represents hate -- and offends me and many others to no end. [It] made me wonder how much research Ubisoft did for this game...(same amount this person did on the civil war)

As a minority, had the South won, I would as ignorant as I am today...

Every game these days is hateful and/or encourages fearful behavior to something whither it's a group of people or types of creatures, it's just part of human nature.

So...............fuck geographical correctness? I mean, there is an African-American population in New Orleans, that's part of its culture.

new idea: paint EVERYBODY in video games caucasian. THAT sure spells racial equality

LOL

Yeah I mean why would there even be black people in Africa anyway? We all know it's the asians who live on that continent.

Well, I agree with him about the Confederate flag, and living in Georgia, I have to see it plenty. But man, this guy is trying to pick pepper out of horseshit.
