Gaming L4D (2) question

Just wondering, is there any customization possible in these games? Like level up, invest points in skills, get perks, ....
I really liked that in Killing Floor, where one player was the healer, the other one the rifleman, ....
I would like such a thing too in L4D, but I don't think it's there?

Nope. There's really no overarching stats, perks, or customization. You can choose your guns as you find them but there's no levels, skills, or perks.

Still a great game though, the way it plays though works with this lack of customization/perks though. I highly suggest buying it.

It's not there by default, but from what I gather there are a few different Sourcemod plugins that one could run on a server to enable similar effects. Granted I've never used these myself so I'm not sure how good they are but it could be something worth checking out if you're really interested in the idea.

Ty. I've bought the bundle this sale, played a bit of L4D2 already. It's entertaining, can't say it really grips me atm but I'll have some fun with it.
