Kirby annouced for DS

Well this is pretty exciting. After the incredibly easy Squeak Squad, we get another Kirby for DS. This time, its a big one.

For those that haven't figured it out yet from either the title or screenshots, its a remake of in my opinion the greatest Kirby game ever made, Kirby Superstar/Super Deluxe for the SNES.

Let's just hope it retains it co-op play like that of Amazing Mirror. That game was so fun.

i liked it when you could mix any abilities with any other, or get super ones when you combine 2 of the same thing, like in crystal shards

Man, of all games, this one is the one I least expected to get remade. I had some good times with the SNES version, and having it portable with an all new (well, by now a little outdated, admittedly) look is really exciting.

I only played this particular Kirby game a little bit. For some reason I only tend to play Kirby all the way through on handhelds so I'm pretty excited about this. I LOVE sidescrollers and Kirby is awesome!

Looks more local wi-fi by screens, not online but it would be great if it had wi-fi(online). But too many ds games they state it might have wi-fi and then bam it doesn't or it is some crappy send messages and crap online with no actual online gameplay.

Yeah, looking at the newer screens put up, mainly the menu, it's just a port of Superstar from the looks of things. Six games, just like in Superstar:

The normal one (Forgot the name)
Dynablade
Metaknight's
The Race One
The Treasure Hunt
The Galaxy one.

Only different thing is it looks like they replace the Punching Rock/Samurai games with three different ones...

And I doubt this will be Wifi. Player 2 always had to wait until Kirby found an enemy, ate em, then farted him out. I doubt the Wifi Player 2 would be pleased to wait around...

Most likely, the 2nd player would be another Kirby and just play co-op like Amazing Mirror. I'm just not sure if they'd still be able to create CPU Partners while playing multiplayer.

Cool, Super Star remake!
That was an awsome kirby game.
Though it seems they are reusing the graphics from the last three games... again...
Cant they do something origonal? Like make really really big sprites then zoom out with some antialiasing. Then you could zoom in at cool parts.
That would be awsome... and semi-origonal.
Instead they do this whole Megaman thing reusing the old graphics.
Kirby games are feeling like horrible rehashs with nothing really new.

Online co-op would be nice though. It was great with ZSNES and the SNES version xD

I dunno, I think he needs a new gimmick, or atleast bring back his good one.
