Did you try pressing + and clicking check for update? I've updated all my games on 4.1.0 yesterday without updating firmware.

I tried that. Says I need to update System FW to download game update. I really don't want to update to FW 5.0 as that potentially locks out homebrew and CFW. It really sucks that the big N is playing hardball with us. Will hold off on updating to 5.0 as long as possible...

I wrote up a updated guide one the proxy. the day i created it and used everything was downloading of eshop, demos and updates but nintendo now tells you you have to update. I still can play rocket league online.
