Hacking Kiosk PS4

Hi guys.
I was given this standard ps4 500gb that's a kiosk unit. It boots to a blue screen (dfu i think) and i can change that to "staff mode" using a button combination. It can play retail discs but it's a bit tricky. Firmware is 7.02.

Now, once a webkit exploit is found, would i be able to take it out of idu mode using the debug settings, use hen on it as it is or is there any way to take it out of kiosk mode at all?

I hope you didn't update the firmware as hack is finally in the way.
I also have demo console with firmware above 5.05 but below 7.02 so I just way for recently released kernel exploit to be adapted fot firmware 6.X

Same here. It's on 5.65 or whatever came right after 5.05, so I've been waiting quite some time.

A really long time ago I accidentally turned my phat ps4 into a kiosk mode ps4 after jailbreak. This was before any homebrew was possible in the very early days. I managed to get it out of kiosk mode but it was quite annoying. Honestly from reading around this ps4 may in fact remain in kiosk mode, but your best bet is update to 6.72, then wait for a hen payload and try to use debug settings to turn it off and pray basically. Interesting thread to watch.

It's on 7.02, internet off until the webkit exploit is released. Even if i won't be able to turn that IDU off it'll still work as a regular ps4. I can play games on it atm by installing the game in "staff mode" and restarting the console into "demo mode" or whatever is called so happy days
