ROM Hack KH 358/2

For any Windows 7 users out there, this patch will most likely not work. I downloaded the latest .net framwork, ran the patch in compatibility mode and as admin, and it still did not work. I had to get the patched rom from a friend. So if it doesn't work for you and you're using W7, don't be surprised.

Now that that's out of the way, I'd like to say thanks for taking the time to do this for all of us. One thing that I'd like to mention is that "Merge Panels" probably should have been translated as "Sythesize," since that's what is has been in all of the other games, but so complaints here. One other thing that just need to ask is if the cutscene text is a separate part of the game or if it's an image. I ask because if I learn more about this type of hacking, I may try to translate the cutscenes myself. Just curious. Thanks again for taking the time to make this, I give you my best regards.

meh, still only giving 2 of the files (patch and patcher) instead of 3 ( patch, patcher, patched) when patching
im using XP , so dunno whats up with it..unless its the rom?
by clean rom, does that mean.. .the one with the freeze.. or the freezed fixed one?
cos if its the one with the freeze, iv tried it already and still doesn't work.

Windows XP sp3, .NET 3.5, patching took about 5-10 minutes, looks like it will stall for a second but wait it out when the bar is completed to the end and you have a "patched" rom at around 250MB it is finished, thee is no notice of completion besides a full bar. hope this helps any XP users.

Almost completely unrelated to this but..... I was wondering where the files for the character names that appear in dialogue are stored. Was thinking about changing them just for fun.

i patched it correctly but wen i load it into either my r4ds sdhc or my computers No$Gba but it goes black or white immediately and it wont load

You sure youre loading the new .nds? It makes a new rom. that has _patched at the end. Should be in the same folder your original was in.

Well I am running Windows 7 RC1 x64 and it works fine for me first time

Didnt work. Tried to patch the game on Vista and it siad something like Kingdom Hearts Translation.exe.patch .What do u want to open this with?
What do i do?

Ummm excuse me but it doesn't work everytime I patched it it always remain the same nothings translated and the size is 256 mb what's goin on mate??? I'm using windows xp........

Hi guys,
First of all, I would like to congratulate everyone for the best Nintendo Scene site there is. Seriously I have been using this site for my DS and my friend's Wii, for quite some time.

Now, on to the main problem:
I have access to 2 PCs (my sister's Vista, and my XP) I tried the patch with both PCs and got nothing. I read some of you tried mashing the "Apply Patch" button out of anger and it worked. I tried it on XP with no result at all. And on Vista, I got the patch and the patcher file, but both disapeared and I got only the original KH file. No patched one.

I really want to apply this patch. Is there something I am missing? Can you help me?

I wish they could solve this for the people who badly wanted to play KH.......

I'm also having a problem patching, get the .NET error, I just fully updated from the windows microsoft update website and still getting errors :'(

To anyone on XP who says the patch is not "working". Make sure you wait until the bar completely reaches the other side. It might freeze about 3/4 of the way through, but give it some time. Second, make sure your not trying to patch a rom thats been patched with the fix before. Third, make sure your opening the new file, and not the same old rom. The new one should be in the safe folder where you original was and have _patched added to the name.
