Just read previous messages, there is an explanation from smea about why it wasn't possible.

So now that 2.5hax is not exploitable, neither HANS, and the eshop, mset and sysupdater haven't am:net permissions, what will you try then ?

Last edited by MasterLel,
I feel bad for those that are waiting for a 9.3+ kernel exploit. But I got a feeling such an exploit is possible and will eventually happen, but I also think that we wont see such a thing for a solid year now at this point, if not later.

Back to the pointer injections idea or something like that ? Can the eshop module be exploited ? it still have some sort of access to am:net at the end

So...this is the result of a huge hype outbreak, huh? Oh well...
I'm just gonna consider myself lucky that I did manage to follow along this hidden project in one of the threads, but let's hope there's no more of these speculation threads for this.
When you guys are ready to release something (or say that it won't work, it might happen), tell us the moment you'll make it public, not any time before (well, maybe within a few hours). I just hope to continue hearing you guys make progress to this goal.
As always, good luck.

Maybe, I don't know. I think that using updates CIAs would be easier
I'm saying it because the data in retail cartridges is already signed isn't it?

Let's make a hypothetical scenario we could make an 'update' prompt from a game cartridge while we're on a higher system version and accept it, would it work? Or would it brick the console?

No I'm not a noob asking if kernel is possible.

According to pingo's twitter there will soon be a PoC for an arm11 exploit that will use 2.5 hax and thus allowing anyone on 9.3-10.x to downgrade without a nand dump.

I see now why nintendo was on fire against homebrew users because they knew this could/would happen.

@JustPingo PoC incoming in 24 hours probably, thanks to smea's hidden kernel exploit <3

@JustPingo It is not exactly a kernel exploit, he lied to nobody. Very few reasons it wouldn't work. You can get hyped. Don't blame me if it fails. lol

@JustPingo Any firmware *hax 2.5 works on.

@Mrrraou @fariaswasadiver @JustPingo Legit CIA installation, downgrade w/o NAND dump, and I think that's enough ?

Nice signature :P
