There is no replacement or danger from installing a cIOS, and no warez loaders use 202.
Riiiight. I'm sure no clueless idiot has ever been confused by the stupid naming scheme (202+60) and installed/removed IOS60 instead. Oh wait...
Now that the network bug has been fixed, I can see why things like the Trucha Bug Restorer and Dop-Mii might be removed from Wiibrew, but there was no reason to bully developers into switching to IOS58.
Uh, who was "bullied" into using IOS58? An app can use whatever IOS it likes, the preference for IOS58 was added to libogc by Tantric and had nothing to do with TT (he also added a check to see if the IOS is fakesigned, go have a whinge about that too).

Lol, wow. I've never heard of anybody doing that. The proper naming scheme is "202[60]vX.X" where X.X is the version.

Anyway, that's not installing 202, so it's hardly an argument.

Supporting IOS58 is great, I won't argue with that. While 202 supports HDD's that IOS58 doesn't, it's likely that the opposite is true for some other HDD's.

I just don't think that people should say 202 (I'm not talking about IOS60) is dangerous to install or that it's used for warez loaders. TT said anything that didn't stop using a cIOS would be removed from wiibrew. I quoted it in an above post.

You said "installing a cios", not installing cios 202. And as I said it doesn't matter how you label things, there will always be people who get it wrong. You can't deny there would be a lot less bricked wiis if people didn't mess around with IOSes at all, and this is why apps that required/encouraged it were removed from wiibrew.
Bad wording. I meant one over 200, and 202 in paticular.

As I mentioned before, I understand why they would remove apps that modify Nintendo IOS's and install them in the same slot, but when installing 202 properly, there is no danger. That's why you should use the official installer or ModMii.

Your arguments about messing with and replacing official IOS's are sound. However, the article talks about the cIOS used for media players (202) as if there was something horrible about it and apps that used it were to be removed.
