Well, I'm just waiting patiently for the next Firmware release like most of us are.

I was wondering if Slow-Mo/In-game Brightness Change would be possible to implement on the R4.

~They are CycloDS Evo Features, so I'd assume R4 could do it too... If these were implemented, then all the CycloDS Evolution would have over the R4 is the MicroSDHC support, correct?

you cannot slow down your ds with the r4, but you can make it faster.(but not with the r4)
