Hacking Just ordered mine ! + few questions

Hey all,

Just ordered myself one of these babys !

I have a DS-X but the lack of space is pi$$ing me off ! so decided to go for this one as it seems to tick all the boxes.

So I have a couple of questions for you guys !

How do I update the built in cheats ? i see there are some files on their site and codejunkies but how do i add these to the microSD card ? Do I just add them to the root ?

also how good is the slowdown function ? .. I only ask cos I've used this (So called) function before and it was just pausing the game rapidly (thus appearing like it was slowing down) can anyone confirm how good it is ?

I don't think the Cyclo slows down games by rapidly pushing pause

Well thats good to hear !

I've used some different enhancment devices before that "apparently" offer game slowdown and all it did was rapidly pause the game on and off

As far as I can tell from their forums you just need to dump the cheat file on the root of the card ... but there are some replys saying that it didnt woek for them ... theres confusion about what to name the file or something ???

What made you buy a cyclo DS Evo ? ... I see from your sig that you already have an R4 ?

I have the DS-X (so no prizes for guessing why I'm upgrading .. I bought an R4 for a friends birthday and he's had no probs with it .. it also seems to be the card of choice on these forums ?

My Brother has the M3 Simply and these seem identicle ?

I only bought an R4 to see if this whole flash cart concept worked and it did, i bought it because of the ease of use and the price and because i was new to all of this.

But i have had it for about say 2-3 months now and i want SDHC support (i mainly use my DS for media purposes and 2 gig just doesn't cut it for me), Wii connectivity, how simple/noobish the R4's GUI is, the support on team cyclo's forums is unmatched oh and lastly for the cool tin it comes in.

They are the main reasons why, otherwise the R4 is awesome but just doenst cut it for me anymore. My two brothers still have their R4's and they love it. So yeah

And i guess it's the cart of choice for this forum because most of people the use their flash carts for gaming, with perfect download play and what not the R4 is perfect for anyone who just wants to game.

I'm not 100% sure, so don't quote me on this.

I think it's possible to alter the GUI by editing the _DS_MENU.dat or some system file similar to that.
