It does not seem to be so important these days (I for one have not read a thread on the subject in a while) but speed test it just to see.

Some of the emulators are looking pretty good and multimedia is not half bad either so homebrew and the odd game for testing would be my suggestion.

If you have a slot 2 handy, use the slot 1 for games and the slot 2 for media or vice versa.
